The Truths About Finding Your Potential

Tell It Like It Is Tuesday: Unmasking Your True Potential.

As I'm working and inching closer to my goal of Punta Cana, there's a lot I've been learning along the way about potential.

Ironically, Younique's challenge to its presenters to share how Younique has helped them UnMask Their Potential, so how the more fitting, to do my own unsmasking with two of my favorite products, our shine cleansing and makeup removing cloths and detoxifying charcoal mask, while we chat about a few TRUTHS in finding your true potential.

I HAVE 4 DAYS LEFT TO COMPLETE MY GOAL, SO I HAVE 4 TRUTHS.

TRUTH #1 It's part attitude, part strategy

Your attitude is your choice. Make the right choice. Moving on.

The strategy part takes a little more thought. Focus on these 5 these to dial in your strategy.

  • Strengths, naturual strengths.

  • Focus on Today. Yesterday doesn't matter, move on. You can't change the past or mold the future so focus your sights on today and give it your best effort.

  • Prioritize. Your agenda can be turned upside down by events and circumstance. Be selective about what you give you attention and time to. Zig Ziglar said, “Lack of direction, not lack of time, is the problem. We all have 24-hour days.”

TRUTH #2 Stop Playing the Victim. It's not a piano.

That kind of thinking can fill your mind will thinking and talking about how wrong things have gone for you in life, or how people have wronged you, or getting your revenge. But all the TIME is wasted effort and doesn't allow you to see potential in anything.

TRUTH #3 Take Responsibility.

You don't control everything that happens to you, but you control every reaction. Whether you think you ARE or AREN'T, you're right.

The main reason that many people refuse to accept responsibility for their life is that they feel like they are blaming themselves – as though they deliberately screwed things up. That is an inaccurate reflection of what it actually means to accept responsibility for your life. When you accept responsibility for your life, you are simply identifying the areas where you can influence change, so that you might achieve a better outcome on the next occasion

TRUTH#4 Take a Drivers Seat

Be Ready and willing to change. You need to be teachable and coachable to grow into your potential.

Quit playing it safe.

Be in control of your time, choices, and attitude.

Just go along for the ride, enjoy the journey because that’s half the fun. If you’re too focused on the destination you’ll miss all sorts of fun along the way.

You may never be the best in the world, most won't, but I can become YOUR best and that's living up to your true potential.
