I've said it before, but I'll say it again. Target keeps improving it's shopping experience. I'd say it's on target to rival amazon in many ways without loosing their store experience that so many know and love.
Being a Minnesota girl, I know many of my friends will be excited to learn that Target will begin offering same-day delivery to customers in three metro areas—Boston, Miami and Minneapolis—starting Feb. 1.
NOTE: Info released 2/1. Global Newswire
Beginning on February 8, 2018, Shipt will deliver from Target stores in 18 markets across five states:
Alabama: Gulf Shores, Huntsville, Mobile, Montgomery and Tuscaloosa
Georgia: Atlanta and Savannah
North Carolina: Asheville, Charlotte, The Triad (Greensboro, Winston Salem, and High Point) the Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill), and Wilmington
South Carolina: Charleston, Columbia, and Greenville
Tennessee: Chattanooga, Memphis and Nashville
A December acquisition of Shipt, an online grocery delivery will allow the Minneapolis based retailer to offer delivery and personal shopper speed and challenges other strictly grocery delivery services. For now, delieveries will be limited to groceries, essentials, home, electronics, and other products with full scale in 2019. Customers must place their orders before 1:30 p.m., for same-day delivery through Shipt. Shipt requires a $99-a-year membership for unlimited free deliveries in as little as one hour. The current minimum for Shipt orders is $35, which matches Target.com'seshold for free shipping.
