#WorkoutWednesday HIIT It!

Getting in a quick workout without any equipment can seem like an impossible feat, but it's not. I often find myself with a limited break and even if I get one, running to the gym isn't always feasible. All it takes is 30 minutes of a High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workout like this to boost your heart-rate and kick your body into burn mode. You may not have heard of Tabata yet, but chances are you will soon: Turns out, it can burn a whopping 13.5 calories a minute — and double a person's metabolic rate for 30 minute afterward!

This workout took my just over 30 minutes and burned nearly 400 calories! Who knows how long is was burning after! I use the INTERVAL TIMER and set series of 8 sets of 20 seconds with a 10 second break in between. Alternate the two exercises all the way through the series. COOL DOWN for 1 minute and then move on to the next set.

Start with a 2 minute warmup of light jogging.
